Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Signature Tech Studio, Inc. ("Signature Tech Studio", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Nectar, our desktop application for reading and organizing construction-drawing documents, and the related cloud processing we provide. Although Nectar runs on your computer, reading a drawing set involves sending document content to our cloud and to the providers described below. By using Nectar, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide.

  • Account and license details, such as your name, email address, and company.
  • Information you send through our beta-access form or by email, including your name, company, email address, the number of seats you need, and how you plan to use Nectar.

Documents you process. The construction-drawing PDFs you process with Nectar, and the metadata we extract from them, such as sheet numbers, sheet titles, project names, and dates.

Information collected automatically.

  • Technical data such as your operating system, the Nectar version you run, IP address, and diagnostic logs that help us keep the service working.
  • A device or machine identifier that we use to bind your license to a single computer and to enforce license terms.

The Nectar desktop application does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our website at nectardocs.com and our beta-access form, which is hosted by HubSpot, may use cookies that are necessary for the form to work and for basic analytics.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide Nectar, including reading your documents and extracting sheet information;
  • issue and enforce licenses, including binding a license to one computer at a time;
  • respond to your requests and provide support;
  • maintain, secure, and improve the service and detect or prevent fraud and abuse; and
  • communicate with you about Nectar, including beta updates and, where permitted, occasional product news you can opt out of.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use the documents you process to train AI models.

3. Where your documents are processed

Your documents are processed and stored within cloud environments that we operate under our own accounts. They are not handed to outside parties to use for their own purposes. To run those environments, we rely on established infrastructure providers, including Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and Cloudflare, for the computing, storage, and network capacity we build on. We do not sell your documents, and we do not use them to train AI models.

Nectar is free during its beta, so we do not collect payment-card information at this time. If we introduce paid plans, we will update this policy and name our payment processor before collecting any payment information.

4. How we share information

We share information only with the service providers described above, when we are required to by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety or those of others, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require that your information remain protected under terms consistent with this policy. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and for the purposes described in this policy. We keep the documents you process, and the metadata we extract, while your account is active and until you delete them or ask us to. If your account is closed, you will have at least 30 days to request a copy of your data before we delete or anonymize it, and information held in backups is removed in the ordinary course of our backup cycles. We keep account and license information for as long as needed to meet our legal, security, and accounting obligations.

6. How we keep your information safe

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, restricted access to systems that hold your data, and binding each license to a single computer. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulators as required by law, without undue delay and, where the GDPR applies, within 72 hours.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to request a copy in a portable form. You can also opt out of non-essential emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. To make a request, email us using the details in the Contact section, and we will respond as required by applicable law. If we rely on your consent to process information, you may withdraw it at any time, which does not affect processing already carried out.

8. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended. In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email, IP address, account and license identifiers, and a machine identifier); customer records and professional information (such as company and contact details); and internet or network activity (such as usage and diagnostic logs). We may derive approximate location from your IP address. We do not collect protected classifications, biometric information, education information, sensitive personal information, or inferences used to build profiles, and during the beta we do not collect commercial or payment information.

We have not sold or shared personal information in the past 12 months, and we do not plan to. You have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of any sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent to make a request, and we will verify your identity before responding. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. Virginia privacy rights

If you are a Virginia resident, you have rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, including the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, to access and obtain a copy of it, to correct inaccuracies, to request deletion, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend that period once when reasonably necessary. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may contact the Virginia Attorney General if you have concerns about our handling of an appeal.

10. Canada

If you are in Canada, we process your information based on your express or implied consent, which you may withdraw at any time, and on the limited grounds permitted by applicable law, such as where collection is clearly in your interest and consent cannot be obtained in a timely way, for fraud detection or prevention, or where otherwise allowed or required by law.

11. International users

We are based in the United States and process and store data on infrastructure located in the United States, operated under our own accounts with the providers described above. If you use Nectar from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules than your home country.

12. Children's privacy

Nectar is a tool for businesses and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Do Not Track

There is no common standard for recognizing Do Not Track signals, so we do not currently respond to them. The Nectar application does not track you across other websites or services.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Nectar after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
